Transitional Kitchen with Navy Blue Cabinets

kitchen ideas December 17, 2020

With all the Christmas colors flooding the internet right now, I thought it’d be a nice change of pace to feature an amazing transitional kitchen with rich, navy blue cabinets.

Gold, streamlined cabinet hardware lends a complementary touch to the rich blue color. Open shelves keep the space from feeling heavy or dark. And that fun bubble light fixture adds whimsy and can’t help but put a smile on your face.

Now that I’m admiring the pair of bubble light fixtures over the spacious kitchen island, I’m wondering how hard it is to dust them. LOL. I’m definitely becoming my mother when I say things like that!

A view from the opposite side of the kitchen island reveals a banquette style dining nook with another fun, pendant light fixture.

And finally, a view of the industrial style stove (which I’m completely jealous over) with its modernized hood vent and subway tile.

Beautiful! You’re so funny. Those lights would probably be a nightmare to clean.

Even though dark they have lightened it up with other elements. When you have to clean lights and fans twice a year, you do start thinking differently.

How did you know that I am STILL trying to decide if I should paint my bottom cabinets dark blue!??? This was very helpful.
And, by the way, I’m thinking the same thing about that chandelier as you and your Mom. Hmmmm….
