Warm and Cozy Beach Cottage You’ll Fall in Love With

You’re going to love this warm and cozy beach cottage by Kate Jackson. There’s so much I find endearing about it. First, it’s located near water, and second, there’s plenty of texture and warmth throughout the home that feels so comfortable and eye appealing.

This cozy corner features dark bamboo blinds, white trim, and a beautiful wall color called Flax, by Restoration Hardware. The rattan chair, a knotty ottoman, and sisal rug lend texture to the space. The tripod table lamp adds a bit of whimsy.

You’ll find the warm wall color throughout the cozy beach cottage. The kitchen features Shaker-style cabinets, a blackboard for leaving notes, and a vintage bowling pin next to an industrial table lamp. You can see a peek of the dining room with cross back chairs in the background.

Wood beams frame the ceiling while expansive windows in the living room provide amazing views of the water. The overstuffed couch beckons you to sink into its comfort. Ceiling fans can cool the room during summer so you can leave the windows open and smell the sea breezes.

The other side of the living room features a wood-burning stove with a brick surround, adding to the warmth of the cozy beach cottage.

A closer look at the staircase reveals a rope handrail, a nod to the nautical vibe of the cottage’s location. An angled door under the stairs makes you want to explore what’s inside. Perhaps storage, a tiny bathroom, or a place to keep wood and fire supplies for the wood-burning stove?

A colorful, vintage poster waits at the top of the stairs.

The master bedroom enjoys the same warm wall color as seen in the living room. A small window features a bamboo roller shade for privacy.

The same color scheme extends to the bathroom. In smaller homes, using the same palette and decorating style from room to room helps the house feel more connected and spacious.
