3-Story Traditional Harbor House
As if two stories of beautiful interior design weren’t enough, this traditional harbor house delights the eye with three stories. Although, looking at the exterior, you’ll notice a turquoise basement door that hints at another level of living space.
That same beautiful blue shade graces the front door, as well. And what an amazing waterfront view this home enjoys. I think I’d leave the front door open all day!
Gorgeous wide-plank wood flooring runs throughout the home and is so lovely! It’s a great way to connect the rooms and the flow of the house. Pattern and color can be added with area rugs.
I sometimes wish I had opted for a table-like island in my kitchen, similar to this one. You’ll find plenty of workspace here with custom details like toe boards at the base of the cabinets, glass-front doors, an industrial style stove, and matching pendant lights.
Dinner, anyone? Maybe a lobster roll? Pretty dahlias add a bit of color to the neutral-toned kitchen. I like the additional texture that the tile affords.
Trim work is accented with a light tan paint color – it reminds me of the Benjamin Moore Ashen Tan paint color my daughter recently used throughout her bungalow home. I need to get over there and take pictures of the changes she’s made.
More blue doors in the dining room with its grand fireplace. I love the historical appeal of this traditional harbor house, and I’m sure there are more great views outside the French doors.
A porthole window gives a nod to the waterfront location.
Another fireplace takes center stage in the living room with its wonderful application of trim work.
It would be disappointing if this 3-story home didn’t have a beautiful staircase. This one doesn’t disappoint! Wood and white is my favorite stairway treatment.
Wide-plank floors continue to the second floor. I love the soft contrast between the wall color and trim.
Bedrooms are simple and uncluttered, which in my opinion, creates a more peaceful sleep. Plantation shutters block early sunlight for sleeping in on the weekends.

Interior is a little too modern for my taste but…WOW! Yes, I could sit and look out that front door all day.
I never seem to think when I’m painting to flip the colors around making the trim darker than the wall color. In the future maybe I’ll get to try that out. Love the blue on the doors! I’m with you on the white and wood staircase…maybe a runner if you have little ones but the look is so pretty! Those outlets are on the wall base boards? hmmm
I think the quiet life near the water would make me slow down and enjoy the day more…note to self…move!Lol!!
Off to look at the other houses ….makes me happy:0) Thanks Jennifer!
A house you can truly breathe in — absolutely no clutter. Simply beautiful. Thanks, Jennifer.
I love the serenity you feel as you walk from room to room, it has lovely colors which are calming and that view is nice too.
Stunning home. Thanks for sharing.
