Craftsman Charm Meets Modern Comfort: A Simple Master Suite
If you like cozy home comforts presented in a minimalist style, you’ll enjoy today’s simple master suite in a craftsman home by Prospect Ridge Studio. The space proves that you can enjoy a cozy room without a lot of stuff in it. I’ve noticed as I get older, I’m appreciating rooms without a lot of clutter. Perhaps it’s because I know there’s less dusting to do!
The master bedroom in this home features a simple country bed settled between a pair of windows with a more modern light fixture above, which spans the width of the bed. I’ve noticed an increased appearance in this style of lighting. A simple landscape print has just enough space between the windows.

Brown and white patterned curtains are layered over a sheer white panel at each window. If you look carefully, you’ll notice the intricate carving of the window frame just above the curtain rod.

A pair of matching nightstands and gold lamps provide a resting place for reading material, along with the light to enjoy a nighttime read. The vintage radiator remains exposed and becomes part of the simple master suite décor.

A vintage wooden dresser reveals its years of love through the way of subtle scratches and worn edges. And that’s what I love about country style – nothing has to be perfect. A ginger jar lamp adds soft color and reminds me of my grandmother who collected ginger jars. An unexpected modern pencil drawing completes the vignette.

A beautiful freestanding bathtub can be seen through the door, along with the painted board and batten walls and brick flooring.

A simple shade at the window creates privacy when needed. I love the pretty hue of the sage green paint. This color is always a great choice to pair with terracotta or brick. The little stool creates a place to lay a folded towel.

And how adorable is this arched, narrow wooden door in the master bathroom? I’ve seen doors like this when I was a child visiting my mother’s friends. I was always intrigued by them even at the tender age of five. Funny how you notice things like that as a kid and realize they’re special.

I love being able to see the grain of the wood in this piece. It makes the entire bathroom look so rich.
