A Warm and Beautiful Craftsman Home with Stunning Details

The first home I purchased as an adult was a Sears kit craftsman home. It was a warm and cozy home with amazing architectural details and I still miss it even to this day. So now I’m showcasing a gorgeous home by David Heide Design Studio with many of the same craftsman details.

My Sears kit home didn’t have a fireplace like this one, but it did have numerous built-ins. Note the missions style furniture and art deco accent pieces.

Consider yourself lucky if you have a home with rich wood trim and floors like this. The furnishings for this charming house are carefully chosen to reflect the period when it was built. In my Sears kit home, I had a sunroom with three walls of windows like this room.

Even the kitchen exudes warmth and style with wood cabinetry and art deco lighting.

The refrigerator is given a custom treatment with a wooden door and drawer.

Check out the wall treatment in this cozy dining nook. The motif used to separate the gray and white coloring on the wall mimics the geometric pattern of the heating duct.

You’ll often find art deco elements in a craftsman home, like the pattern seen on the vanity doors in the powder room.

The craftsman style of the front door gives you a hint at what’s to come when you step inside. So many rich detail to enjoy throughout this beautiful home!

As if the beautiful details of this house wasn’t enough, even the outdoor spaces are pretty special. A separate screened porch creates a cozy hideaway in the backyard. I’d be out here all the time.
