Breezy curtains reveal breathtaking waterfront views just outside the French doors. Gingham checks on pillows are the perfect complement to the floral fabrics.

A hydrangea patterned area rug in blue and green emphasizes a love of flowers. To the left of the door you’ll see a pair of seashell shadow boxes. Note too, the blue and white striped curtain rod.

Stepping back, we get a better view of the beach cottage living room painted in pale blue and surrounded by windows to take advantage of the seaside views. The painting above the white fireplace mimics the beauty of the water outside.

Come on into the kitchen and it’s no surprise that the room enjoys multiple windows for enjoying Mother Nature’s beautiful scenes. Gauzy valences are gathered up with little starfish. A copper apron sink echoes the patina of the smaller sink in the kitchen island.

Yellow and white horizontal stripes line the walls of a waterfront facing bedroom. A seaside pattern decorates the twin beds. Wouldn’t you love having a view like this upon waking in the morning? You can almost smell the ocean through the open windows. What a great way to sleep!

A pale, yellow desk in the corner makes a great place to work while enjoying the scenic seaside. An ocean inspired rug adds a touch of pink to the room, along with a vase overflowing with fresh tulips. Such a pretty summer fresh bedroom.

A second bedroom enjoys a vaulted ceiling with a fireplace. I’m loving the little white rocking chair in the corner with the gauzy curtains blowing lightly from the ocean breeze.

Does this charming beach cottage make you want to go on vacation? Hubby and I travel to Maine in July and this home is making me anxious to go. I love the east coast and it’s possible that a summer New England trip is going to become an annual event.

We visited Boston last year and this September will be in Maine. We rented a home in Bar Harbor area and so anxious to go. Maine and Puget Sound area clear on the other side are on my bucket list. Just reading Kim’s post on her blog where her and her husband have a home on Puget sound and take their boat around the different islands there with their 2 dogs! Such cute towns! One can dream..happy for Kim.
Enjoy your trip Jennifer! Tell us all about it:0)
