Cottage Curb Appeal

Summer is a great time to think about sprucing up your front door. I love cruising around local neighborhoods for inspiration.

What’s not to love about this little porch with its pink flowers and bright green mailbox?
Little blue birds highlight the yellow, iron archway framing the entrance.
I love a blue door with an iron knocker and chippy trim.

This cute little duplex entryway sports adorable yellow mailboxes with a matching yellow bench.
Isn’t this arched door divine? A wrought iron fence and charming wreath provide finishing touches.
Look at the carving in the front door! Love the touch of teal on the window.
This charming English Country Cottage has an adorable entryway.
Love the green trim work against the cedar shakes.
If shabby chic is more your style, you probably wouldn’t want to give this porch a new paint job.
But it needs a new door number … the white 232 is completely lost.
This friendly woman and her little dog were happy to let me take their picture.
I really wanted to invite myself inside her side porch, it’s so charming!
Our new furry friend ran around to the front door for another photo opp.
I’m considering this color combo for our house (we have to repaint the exterior this summer).
Matching topiaries frame a wooden, Victorian door.
Do you see the little bunnies nestled near the front steps?
Another set of wooden doors with a sun motif.
Love the park benches and the touches of red to match the roof.
Here’s a truly unique entryway. The gate is a spider’s web.
Do you see the spider in the lower left?
Another, beautiful arched doorway with a cute little lamp in the entryway.
Now I’m thinking how to create more curb appeal for my own home.

  1. My favorite Ramsign is the dark background with white letters. I think I would use it on our old building to give it some charm

  2. Hi Jennifer, I absolutely adore all the front doors you posted. Makes me feel so inadequate. People do such beautiful things. My front entry is in such dire need of work but I can’t decide and there’s not much there architecturally to make it special. Thank you for stopping to comment on my Sandlot Rascal’s rehab. I sure appreciate you taking the time!
