Luxury Cabin Dressed in a Rustic, Modern Country Style
Today’s home might possibly be the most beautiful, luxury cabin I’ve ever seen. A modern country style was applied to the interior spaces and the result is a comfortable, pleasing combination of color and earthy finishes. The project was created by a collaboration with The Cabinet Gallery, Ed McDonald Custom Homes, and Homeward Design.
I love the soft blue chosen for the kitchen island. It adds a little bit of femininity to the stone wall and wood-beamed ceiling. The window trim appears to have a greenish tint in the color.
The cabinetry is beautiful too, in both color and trim details. And who wouldn’t love a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer? Being able to tuck stools under the kitchen island is an added bonus. They’re not in the way when cooking.
The first level of the luxury cabin has an open floor plan, but rough-hewn wooden posts help to define the space between the dining area and living room.
Velvet Chesterfield sofas bring the blue theme into the living room. This view of the home lets you see more of the wood and stone surfaces. Such an impressive design.
The dining room features more of the stone and wood walls, along with a pair of recessed, glass-front cabinets flanking the fireplace. An oriental rug lends color to the room, along with blue upholstered end chairs at the large table. What a great place for family to gather for holiday meals and celebrations.
Expansive windows throughout the luxury cabin keep the rooms light-filled and cheerful despite the abundance of wood walls and ceilings. A large stone fireplace is mounted with a T.V. in this comfortable family room.
A wood-planked accent wall adds interest to this bedroom with the reflection of daylight seen in the large round mirror. The neutral bedding makes that bed look oh-so-comfy and luxurious.
Another bedroom enjoys a view of the woods outside. The luxury cabin is located in the Uinta mountain range, the highest range in Utah. Maybe it has something to do with my recent bedroom refresh, but I really like the black metal bed and bedding in this room.
A cozy window seat provides an outdoor view of the beautiful range.
Yet another metal bed makes its appearance. Note the placement of the bed in front of the window. I considered doing this in my own room, but I like looking out the window first thing in the morning.
I hope you enjoyed touring this luxury cabin provided by The Cabinet Gallery. I really enjoyed the modern country design inside the rustic looking rooms.
