I love this entryway! The combination of wood and stone is a perfect pairing. The vintage red chest adds a nice bit of color while the hawk painting is catches your eye. A small window in the rustic wood door lets just enough natural light shine through.

Vaulted wood beamed ceilings and expansive windows lend an air of spaciousness to the open concept floor plan. The same stone in the entryway is applied to the fireplace. More brushes of red appear on the rug and some of the furnishings.

Furnishings are simple yet elegant, allowing the architectural beauty of the home to be fully appreciated.

Stone work makes another appearance in this beautiful powder room. I’m not sure if the wall at right is wallpapered or if it’s a mural painting – but either way, it’s a unique and unexpected touch. And now I want a mirror in my bathroom that appears to be hanging from the ceiling like this one.

The dining room was the first image of this rustic mountain cabin that caught my eye. I love the rough-hewn wood and striped tan and red fabric on the chairs and banquette. A camp-style pulley light fixture is just the right addition.

The master bedroom is pretty spectacular too. Different hues of stain were applied to the paneled walls creating a soft and interesting look. I love the quirky iron chandelier and think the bedding would look perfect in my own bedroom.

Can anyone honestly say they wouldn’t want to let Calgon take them away in this bath tub? What a great place to pamper yourself!

This rustic mountain cabin has bathroom decorating down pat. The red mirror and vintage flower bucket add a bit of energy while a braided rug adds comfort underfoot. You don’t see braided rugs too often these days, but I’m still a big fan of them.

After exploring this beautiful home, I now want to go to Idaho. I’ve never been there.

  1. Quite spectacular! This home is perfectly decorated for it’s architecture and geographical setting. I can’t imagine that anyone could spend time in this home/environment and not feel like “Calgon has taken them away! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Another great home, loved all the wood and stone used, i could certainly spend some time there.

  3. Love this home with all the stone and wood, a perfect combination. I also loved the colors used in the decor very subtle but catchy. The only thing that I would change is in the first bathroom picture that sink didn’t look very practical and I could see water splashing everywhere but I did love the mirror too.

  4. My family and I vacation in Idaho yearly. We rent cabins, more accurately, huge homes on a lake. We have the choice of staying on the lake, rafting down a lazy river or driving into Yellowstone. Idaho is a truly gorgeous state. If your ever out west, Idaho is truly amazing.

  5. What’s not to love? The colors used throughout go so well with the wood in the home. Just so well done, someone had quite the eye for detail. Even like the green stained walls in the bedroom. Both the bathrooms were cute. After seeing the last picture, I realized it’s a very “large” cabin. Very pretty.
