Stunning Georgian Cottage You’ll Love in England

Let’s take a trip across the pond today and visit a beautiful Georgian cottage by Lisette Voute Designs located near London. I think you’ll enjoy not only the custom details, but the great use of space throughout the light-filled home.

The galley style kitchen is beyond amazing with its rich wood floors and custom cabinetry. I would love to have a stove like that in my home. One day, I’ll eventually splurge on a designer-type range. I like the idea of a bar running across the wall to hang oft-used utensils.

A lone window at the end of the galley allows sunlight to fill the bespoke kitchen. I’m crushing on the faucet and simple light fixture, too.

Just off the kitchen is the dining room where you’ll find more details – just look at the trim work!

The color scheme in the dining room pulls a little of the blue from the kitchen.

The living room is comfortable and cozy with a mix of patterns. The blue is repeated in the space but a pop of red is added for interest. I’ve always loved European style fireplaces like this one.

Space is made for a home office in the same pale blue.

A spacious cabinet lines the opposite wall creating storage for books and other treasures. Through the doors you’ll notice built-in custom cabinetry for even more storage.

The family room is light and bright in this Georgian cottage.

And here’s why – oversized sliding doors lead to the private courtyard. A beautiful wood console makes a statement piece upon entering the room.

An upholstered headboard is a slightly different shade of blue than the walls. Such a serene and peaceful room for sleeping!

  1. OMG, that kitchen! This home! Every detail speaks to me. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this home. I had been thinking about removing the ceiling in my galley kitchen, but just wasn’t sure it would look good; the person who designed and finished out this kitchen has given me a preview of what it would look like. Thank you!

  2. What a lovely and airy home. I love the soft blue through out and how the theme of the color went from room to room. The fireplaces were lovely too. One of my favorite shows I like to watch is Escape to the Country where they show all sorts of lovely homes in England. Makes me sometimes wish to move there.

  3. Since I love galley kitchens, this is one of my favorites, ever. I appreciate the fact that the designer did not hesitate to set the beautiful sink and faucet off-center of the window in order to provide a usable lower cabinet beside it instead of two pretty much unusable narrow cabinets on each side had the sink been centered.
Also, the blue interwoven throughout the home is so calming and definitely used as a neutral. It’s one of my favorite shades of blue – in fact it’s the color of the bedding and sheer draperies in my bedroom.

  4. Hi, i know this post is a year old, but i love the bluish kitchen cabinets and wanted to know the color?

    thank you

  5. This is the most beautiful site ever Each home has beautiful decor. I truly enjoy seeing everything. Thank you.

  6. Beautiful cabinetry and mill work, but I’m wondering why they didn’t carry the cabinetry in the office all the way up to the ceiling, but maybe that is a stand alone piece of furniture.
