Charming Home Tour ~ Little House of Four
Today is the first Sunday in August and that means two things … it’s flea market weekend … and it’s time for another charming home tour! Hubby and I will be heading out to the flea market a little later but before we go, I want to share the charming home of Katie who blogs at Little House of Four.
Step inside the entry way to Katie’s home where you’ll be greeted by the walls she planked and the door she painted. Katie is truly resourceful and shares how she creates her projects.
Katie adds soft blues to her beautiful dining room. She artfully paired a floral rug with chevron drapes and the result is stunning.
In the kitchen, painted white cabinets play off the dark counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Paint has such transformative powers in any room, and a great way to brighten the kitchen is to paint the cabinets a lighter color.
Katie’s hallway has a lovely gallery wall at the end.
Note how dark frames echo the dark stripes in the hallway’s rug.
Not only is Katie a talented decorator, but she’s highly organized, too. I’m lovin’ her craft closet where everything has its proper place and is easy to find.
Coral and navy blue come together in Katie’s daughter’s bedroom to create an inviting space for a girl who’s growing up. The contrast of sunny yellow is a pleasing surprise.
In the master bedroom, Katie painted horizontal stripes on an accent wall.
She shares instructions on how to get the look.
When you visit Katie at Little House of Four, you’ll find lots of DIY projects in her home, including this handsome dresser she transformed with chalk paint.

Katie’s home looks great, I especially love the front door, would it be possible to find out what that paint color is?
