Discover a Beautifully Appointed Traditional White House in New Jersey
Today we’re headed to the charming town of Haddonfield, New Jersey to tour a beautifully appointed, traditional white house by SHOPHOUSE. The interiors are somewhat elegant and have a spring-fresh vibe that’s uplifting to your spirits. And wait until you see the master suite. It’s pretty amazing.
The large front porch and black shutters on white siding immediately make you feel at home in this architecturally symmetrical house.. A pair of wooden rockers invite you to enjoy the outdoor breezes and scenery.
You’ll often find a round table in the foyer of a traditional home, provided the entryway is large enough. The front door enjoys sidelights and a transom window. I like when you can see out the front door as opposed to a solid door. Some people prefer the privacy of a solid door, however.
This traditional white house features a sweet floral wallpaper in the dining room. A large window and white furnishings keep the space light and bright. One large branch and vase occupies the sideboard table, as opposed to numerous knickknacks.
The living room enjoys pale gray-blue walls with more modern style furniture. A large vase with peonies adds a fun touch of color to the calm and serene room.
Just off the living room in today’s traditional white house is a custom bar for entertaining. It kind of reminds me of a scene from Mad Men, which is show I loved. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s about the Madison Street marketing era from the 1960s. They were all about the afternoon cocktails back then.
The pale blue-gray hue from the living room extends into the kitchen with its unique pendant lights above the kitchen island. Another large branch in a vase brings the outdoors in. Gold accents throughout the kitchen provide an air of elegance.
Black Windsor chairs cozy up to a round white table in the eat-in kitchen. A banquette and floral shade create a cozy spot.
The family room enjoys a cozy fireplace flanked by large floor-to-ceiling windows. Plaids and florals are mixed through the use of pillows.
The u-shaped staircase is trimmed in white and black. Let’s head on up.
A girl’s bedroom is dressed in soft pastels with a pairing of printed and solid fabrics. The lavender and blue color palette is feminine yet sophisticated.
The master bedroom suite is serene and peaceful in tan and blue, with a touch of florals on the pleated lampshade and lumbar pillow on a tufted ottoman in the walk-in closet (see second photo).
The same floral print is seen at the other end of the stunning master closet that has to be every girl’s dream.
One thing I hate about ironing is dragging out the ironing board. Mostly I use my bed to iron on. My first home had a built-in wooden ironing board that would fold up into a cupboard.
No need for jewelry boxes when you have built-in drawers to hold all your bodily adornments.
A beautiful marbled vanity is featured in the master bathroom, with monogrammed towels and brushed gold accents. The effect is elegant and peaceful.
I hope you enjoyed touring this traditional white house in Haddonfield by SHOPHOUSE. There’s so many great details and classic features.

Gorgeous all around. The colors are so soothing. But I must say, my favorite was that closet. Those jewelry drawers and built in ironing board – genius! Thanks for sharing!
Very Pretty!
The globe lamps in the kitchen, any shopping info about them? TY💐
Lovely home! I am really happy to see florals, prints and wallpapers making a comeback.
Yes! I agree…
I love the shade on the green lamp. Looking at the outside structure it looks like a hall goes all the way thru the house. I would love that.
I really liked the outside, beautiful home. Thanks and have a great week.
My heart jumped for joy seeing the painting/print of the scene from my all time favorite movie. ♥
This is a beautiful home. I also don’t like dragging out the ironing board. But, you said you use your bed for ironing. How do you use your bed?
Crazy gorgeous!
PS: Jillian (commented in 2022), you got your wish! 😉
I’ll take those shelves in the wet bar!
