Cozy Stone Cottage Is High on Style and Rustic Charm

Wow. That was my first reaction when first seeing this cozy stone cottage by Nicole Mizrahi Interiors. The stone exterior continues inside so that about half the walls are stone. The result is a warm embrace of rustic charm once you step through the front door. Although the amount of stone could become foreboding, the interiors are paired with pale paint and neutral furnishings. I’m completely smitten by this home.

A pair of 5-panel doors open up to the living room with its impressive stone fireplace and matching linen sofas that you can sink right into. A sisal rug adds texture atop the rich wood floors.

A rustic stone entry leads into the gorgeous kitchen with arched windows above the sink. I love the combination of white cabinets with the rock walls. Add a white-painted beamed ceiling and the room becomes a unique and classic space for creating your favorite meals.

Another arched, stone doorway leads into the light and bright dining room with leather chairs gathered round a contemporary table. A unique light fixture suspended from the vaulted ceiling sets the mood at night.

Continue through the cozy stone cottage and you’ll see that the pairing of white paint against rock flows from room to room.

Cotton branches snuggle up to the linen sofa in the family room. A few modern elements are brought into the home to create a unique look – like the modern side chairs and coffee table.

A wrought iron railing leads the way to the second floor while a large globe pendant light guides your steps at night.

Even the bedrooms enjoy stone walls with arched windows carved into them. A patterned rug adds a touch of color.

Although the cozy stone cottage is on the rustic side, it contains all the conveniences of modern-day living, like a walk-in glass shower.

Here’s the outside of the home that shares the same rustic charm as the interior spaces. Such a pretty home – I could move right in. How about you?

  1. You used a great phrase, “I am smitten.”
Me too! Although I imagine it decorated in a French Country type style, I love the coziness and the authenticity of this home. Thanks so much for sharing.

    1. I Love the stone cottage as well! I do agree with Deb and would prefer seeing more of a minimalist French Country decor, but I’d move in no matter what was in there to be honest! It’s just so cozy and has endless potential for styling!

  2. I love the home itself but to me they ruined it with modern furniture! It needs more rustic furniture!!!! Just my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. What’s not to love about this cottage. Amazing. But even though I love the kitchen, not sure about the stone versus a regular backsplash. Wouldn’t be that easy to clean and maintain. A fabulous place though.

  4. It is lovely. A few interiors are a bit overwhelming for me despite the careful treatment of color and furnishings. I enjoy your posts.
