Explore a Vibrant Craftsman Home That Blooms with Color and Pattern
Wallpaper is definitely making a comeback this year and I don’t see the trend going away any time soon. Today’s vibrant craftsman home by Meet West is a prime example of some of the beautiful patterns available. I love the color and charm of this house, and I think you will too.
The kitchen features a terracotta floor (which is also making a comeback) and a deep red stove. A skinny island creates additional workspace and storage without taking up a lot of room. Rich, wood cabinets enjoy a light green tile back splash. Just off the kitchen you’ll notice a sun room.
On the other side of the kitchen, pale green cabinets match the custom tile. A dark countertop helps to ground it all and pull it together.
A trio of windows above the kitchen sink provides a view of the yard. An arch and crown molding add architectural interest to the craftsman kitchen.
The adjoining dining room features another shade of green and a lovely, floral wallpaper. One thing I love about craftsman homes is that they typically have a few built-in cabinets which makes great use of space in the smaller rooms.
An unexpected modern chandelier creates eclectic appeal above the rustic dining table and chairs. I find it to be such a nice mix of styles, along with the beautiful wallpaper.
On the other side of the dining room of today’s vibrant craftsman home is an arched doorway to the living room. Surprisingly, the living room has unadorned white walls and neutral tones.
Here’s a closer look at the sunroom that we caught a glimpse of in the kitchen. Simple cafe curtains adorn the windows above the built-in window seats. The wallpaper in here is a softer floral pattern joined by a more modern, geometric print on the seat cushions.
The laundry room also gets a fresh application of colorful wallpaper paired with the same pale green cabinets we saw in the kitchen. Small tile creates a pretty pattern on the floor that mimics the pattern of the skirted fabric under the sink.
What a beautiful bathroom with its elegant vanity and gold faucet fixtures. I love how the mirror settles just above the curve of the marble back splash. And the sconce light! I need to find out where to get those for my own bathroom.
A view of the bath and shower area reveals the soft pattern of the wall tile, and the more colorful and interesting pattern of the floor tile. I could move into this house without changing a single thing.

Lovely home-but I wander if they added the arches downstairs, craftsman probably would not have arches but cased wood trimmed openings. I am thrown off by the arches.
It was strange to see the living room so bare. I did love the wallpaper in the other rooms, they were so pretty.
