Rustic Cottage Master Bedroom Makeover
I love when designers mix unexpected elements when decorating rooms. Like today’s rustic cottage master bedroom that, despite its rough hewn beams, enjoys an elegant and feminine chandelier. The room is decorated in neutrals and enjoys layers of textiles.
Soft linens on the bed provide cozy comfort while a gorgeous, vintage reading lamp makes it easier to curl up and enjoy a romantic novel late at night. Large windows allow for moonlight to drift through at night.
A pretty French country vintage dresser adds a bit of femininity while sliding closet doors lend just a touch of modernity.
A painted door has a bit of subtle trim and the number one lends a farmhouse vibe. Note the pretty doorknob.
An arched mirror mimics the curves of the vintage dresser and fits perfectly under the sloped ceiling.
Note the small doors at the bottom of the eaves. Not only are they adorable (doors can be adorable, right?) but they provide much needed storage space in the small cottage master bedroom.

I loved the number on the bedroom door idea! Now that we are empty nesters and all of our kids gone, the bedrooms are guest bedrooms. I think it would be so fun to say – you’ll be in guest room #4 etc. Love it! Thanks for posting it and yes, I’m ready for an escape from the world a bit. Hope you have a blessed Christmas.
