Do you have memories of vacationing in cozy summer cottages? I have vague memories of a lakeside cottage vacation in Canada when I was just a little girl. A few years later I remember taking a trip to Arkansas to vacation in a woodsy cottage with my grandparents. Both trips are fond summer memories from my youth. When my own children were little we took regular vacations to one of the cozy summer cottages on Hilton Head Island. Today I’m sharing a bit of that summer nostalgia with a collection of cozy beach cottages I think you’ll love.

This two-story seaside cottage would be a perfect vacation destination. One day I’d like to vacation in a peace of paradise like this with my children and their families. I think it’d be fun to stay in the same vacation home where we can take turns making breakfast for one another before heading out to the beach for the day.
How fun is this quaint little cottage by the sea? I love the palm tree in a pot!
The color of the ocean paints this craftsman style beach cottage with its sunny yellow mums out front.
You can almost smell the ocean air and imagine the views of the beach and shoreline from the second story deck of this fabulous home.
Summer cottages require beach cruiser bicycles for exploring the coast line.
A simple porch provides a shaded respite from the summer sun.
Blue is often used on summer cottages to replicate the cool hue of the sea.
At the end of a vacation day, an island resort looks dreamy lit up at night.
