I don’t know if it’s because I was born and raised in a Swedish town, but I love Scandinavian homes and decor. To my knowledge, I don’t have any Swedish blood in my body. I’m mostly Hungarian, English, and Scottish. I know – a weird combination. But anyway, I thought it would be fun to…
I’ve been holding onto a little secret for many many months and now I’m finally able to share it with all of you! My home is appearing in the new book “Creatively Christmas ~ Inspired Yuletide Decor” by Jennifer Rizzo!! I’ll never forget the day last year when I opened an email from Jennifer telling…
November is kind of an awkward month for bloggers. Â We’ve got one foot in the Fall and Thanksgiving season, and another foot in the Christmas season. We try to showcase Christmas decor early to provide inspiration, kind of like the stores but we don’t start quite as early as they do! Â Today I’m sharing DIY…
Christmas carols are playing on Pandora, bits of ribbon and wrapping paper are on the floor, and I find myself a bit nostalgic remembering Christmases past. With that in mind, I’m sharing a favorite holiday table setting that features gold and crystal. I knew gold was going to be the central color of this particular…
Would you dine outside on a snowy day if the Christmas table was set with the most gorgeous red flowers you’d ever seen? I’m not the biggest fan of winter but even I could be lured outside to enjoy the decadent beauty of this frosty scene. Wouldn’t it be fun to rent a cabin…
Hubby and I have been casually searching for the perfect kitchen table. There’s nothing really wrong with our current table … I’d just like something that’s not completely painted. Maybe a rustic wood table top with painted legs. I found some inspiration surfing through the pages of Houzz. Rustic Kitchen by Menlo Park Home Builders…

Luv the vintage ornaments.
Merry Christmas.

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.

Linda
