Patriotic Beach House on Whidbey Island
Yesterday was about spring colors in living rooms, and today it’s all about a beautiful and patriotic beach house by Brian Paquette Interiors. Located on Whidbey Island just north of Seattle, this home’s interior gives a nod to Old Glory with its red, white, and blue color scheme.

Crisp white walls provide the perfect backdrop for a smattering of patterns in patriotic colors. Everything is clean, fresh, and bright.

Red and white paisley Roman shades play against the bold navy and white striped wallpaper in the dining nook.

And the view out the windows and doors is just spectacular!

Kitchen cabinets are painted in a dark blue – almost looks like Hale by Benjamin Moore.

What looks to me like a dark blue-dyed grass cloth wallpaper is the backdrop for a cozy den with collected turtle shells on the wall.

A cozy bedroom is serene and relaxing in varying shades of blue. Ticking stripe on the window shades is remiscent of the water and boats just outside.

Another bedroom enjoys a cozy under-the-eaves roofline for peaceful dreaming.

In an upstairs landing, a charming little nook features an early American style bench on a sisal rug.

Beautiful Beachfront Home in Rhode Island
I love a red, white and blue motif. There are so many nice pieces of furniture and touches in this home. I went to Whidbey Island many years ago. Such a beautiful home in a beautiful setting.
I live on Whidbey Island and love all the quirky cottages and gardens spotted all over this island. I luv the red, white and blue of the feature home. Thanks for sharing it.
I love how all the blues work cohesively as you go from room to room. It is also nice to see a home with real color and not just neutrals/white.
Thank you for another lovely post. This red, white, and blue home is fabulous! I guess any well executed interior is a lovely sight to behold even if it’s not my personal style. That’s what makes it so much fun.
Lovely home. Love that plaid couch in the den, and have always liked grasscloth wallpaper. This is so tastefully done. I am not a fan of coastal homes done with seashells and other tired beach/boat decor. The same with antler accessories here in Colorado. This home is a pleasure. We have been to Whidbey a few times, beautiful.
The colors in this home are so tastefully done. Really very pretty.
I loved this home tour! I think you are right about the blue grass cloth walls, but I know there is a faux grass cloth, blue denim paint technique. I’ve been thinking about trying this in a small bedroom. But do I go neutral with a tan or make the commitment to a beautiful denim blue? It seems like I am sold the idea of decorating for a potential sale, rather than making a commitment to my house on so many blogs. So thanks for just giving us great things to look at, consider and maybe sparking some creativity for your followers.
