A glimpse of the living room foreshadows the color that’s to come! This is the direction I’d like to head with my own home, but it will take a bit of time to replace my neutrals with colors.

From this side of the living room, you can see out to the porch, which you’ll get a better look at later in this post. The mix of rusty reds and blues pair well with the neutral couch and textured bamboo shades and sisal rug.

The other side of the cozy living room leads into the dining room.

Early American style chairs gather ’round the wooden table while a vintage buffet features a still life oil painting above. Softly patterned curtains lend a feminine touch.

The kitchen features country blue cabinets and an island with upholstered bar stools in an attractive pattern. It’s nice to see color in the kitchen again.

I love this house! Thanks so much for sharing, Jennifer- now I think “Modern Americana” is my true style.
Really nicely done. Would love to see some touches to show that people actually LIVE HERE. 😉
I agree! Very pretty home…classic, love the details and furnishings. But, no personal touches. That is what makes a home. The warmth isn’t there.
This home is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you.
This is one of the prettiest homes you have featured, so cozy and inviting, not sterile like so many now without color and softness.
Perfection is what this home is, thanks so much.
This is lovely! My favourite thing about the home is the patterned curtains. I love a pretty fabric on windows. These days everyone including me seems to have white, neutral or a solid colour. Patterned curtains especially floral provided they are done well, can make a room.
Love it. Where is that white sofa from? I want my home to look like this!!
