Traditional Home in a Neutral Color Scheme

home tour February 16, 2020

Welcome to a beautiful and serene traditional home that feels comfortable and spacious in its neutral color scheme. Both the interior and exterior spaces were given careful thought and design consideration.

Today’s home is located in Dallas, Texas. It’s filled with classic furniture and traditional style. Not too stuffy, and not too cutesy, it maintains a balance of timeless appeal.

A charming dining nook is tucked off to the side of the sitting area that’s adjacent to the kitchen. A pretty fireplace and landscape painting are the focal point of this cozy little gathering spot.

A built-in banquette, painted plank ceiling, and windows all around make this dining nook a wonderful spot for morning coffee or a mid-day lunch with friends.

Here you can see how the sitting area is right off the pretty, custom kitchen.

A closer view of the kitchen reveals its details like the large window and kitchen island with built-in shelving for cookbooks.

A beamed ceiling presides over the gorgeous living room with its classic furniture and floral patterned area rug. A mix of antiques and new pieces come together for timeless appeal.

Warm wood paneling and a built-in bookcase hug the home office. Paneling used to be associated with the seventies, but it’s making a comeback and you’ll see it more in interior spaces.

What a beautiful ceiling in a gorgeous bedroom. The neutral color scheme is both elegant and comforting.

This bedroom isn’t quite as grand, but it’s equally pretty. I think white bedrooms are peaceful and serene.

The outdoor living spaces of this traditional home in Dallas are just as stunning as the inside. Since it’s Texas, you’ll find several outdoor areas for entertaining and gardening.

From the garden spaces to the interior rooms, this Dallas home is pretty close to perfection.

A very nice home. I love the color of the ceiling in the master bedroom. I couldn’t figure out if it was more green or blue but no matter it was a pretty color. If I was ever to be able to have an island I too would want shelves at the end for my cookbooks as of now my favorites are piled on top of my fridge. I could see my Dad living in this home for he loves traditional and the beiges/brown/rust colors with those pops of blue. Thanks for posting.
