If I were to list everything I wanna get done in 2012, this blog post would involve so much scrolling down the page that you’d be sure to get carpal tunnel syndrome. For now, I’ll limit it to manageable goals … and goals for which I have pictures taken. So in no particular order … Paint the house….
They say Christmas is for kids, but I still love Christmas. With each passing year I’m drawn more and more to the nostalgia of Christmas past. Memories of childhood Christmases haunt me and I find myself wanting to recreate that magical experience. So it’s no surprise that this year I’m dreaming of a vintage Christmas….
When I think of Christmas, I think of glitter and sparkle … the way pure white snow sparkles in the sun. I love color at Christmas, including silver and gold. I found some beautiful, blingy holiday pieces to create a vintage Christmas mantel. I’m sharing my holiday mantel today along with some of my blogging friends….
When you’re in the process of re-doing or redecorating a room, it can be a challenge to pull an entire look together. I recently moved my dining furniture to the living room and converted the dining space to a sitting room. I haven’t done a whole lot in the “new” dining room as I’m still…

Some of my friends and family members have difficulty sleeping. On occasion, I struggle with sleep too, although lately I haven’t had any problems. My philosophy is that if you have pretty space for sleeping, it’s easier to drift off. I say this because I think your surroundings can calm your nerves and create a…

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.
